Newcastle United youngster Macaulay Gillesphey is making a name for himself at Carlisle United.

The 20-year-old is loan at the League Two side and netted an impressive free-kick in the 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient.

Gillesphey's goal had put Carlisle 1-0 up early in the first half, but his side had to come back and claim a draw after falling behind.

Gillesphey commented on Twitter after the game, admitting he would be a lot happier had the team managed to grab all three points.

Carlisle are in 11th place but are just three points back from the play-off positions, with Leyton Orient in seventh position.

Gillesphey is a centre-back, who is on loan at Carlisle along with Newcastle prospect Alex Gilliead. This was his first goal of the season in 17 appearances.

He has featured in cup games against Everton and Liverpool this season, but his contract at Newcastle is up at the end of the season.
