Tony Pulis hits back at West Bromwich Albion fans criticising his management

West Bromwich Albion are currently in 13th place in the Premier League table.

Tony Pulis has fired back at critics of his management at West Bromwich Albion on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, which was broadcast on February 27th.

Although the Baggies appear to be well clear of trouble, there has been a very disgruntled feel around the Hawthorns in recent months.

Albion fans have accused Pulis of setting up the side to play too defensively, and they have bemoaned the lack of entertainment on display.

However, the Welsh boss has defended his approach - and insists that West Brom have actually put in entertaining displays this season.

“I think we’ve played some good football this year,” Pulis said. “We went to Chelsea and played exceptional well.

“What supporters will do is pick certain games and won’t be happy with certain games. There has been times when we’ve not played very well, but you get on with your job and do it for the best of your ability.”

West Brom have shown more ambition going forward in recent weeks, and they have been rewarded for their attacking approach.

With Saido Berahino partnering Salomon Rondon up front, West Brom have picked up four points from their last two outings, and have scored five times in the process.

West Brom beat Crystal Palace 3-2 last weekend, before picking up a point against Leicester City the King Power Stadium last night.

West Brom now sit in 13th place in the Premier League table, and they are 12 points clear of the drop zone.
