Former Newcastle United defender Stuart Pearce highlighted on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning (10:53am, February 29) a major difference between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at the moment.
“One thing Tottenham have got, which Arsenal have got criticised for this weekend, Tottenham seem to have found a little bit of hard-nosed professionalism, haven’t they?” said Pearce. “You don’t think Tottenham are going to be an easy touch this season, which is credit to the manager.”
Pearce made the comments following the weekend’s results in the Premier League.
While Arsenal suffered a 3-2 defeat to Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur got the better of Swansea City 2-1 at White Hart Lane.
The Gunners should have won the match against the Red Devils given the two teams that were on the pitch.
As for Spurs, they came from behind to pick up all three points against a side fighting for survival in the Premier League.
It was ‘classic’ Arsenal, who could easily blow up a great chance of winning the Premier League title this season.
Tottenham are solid at the back and are threatening up front, and at this moment in time, they are a better ‘team’ than Arsenal.
