The Gers continued their great run of form in the Scottish Championship with a 2-0 victory over Rovers at Ibrox in Glasgow on Tuesday evening.
Forrester, who joined Rangers from Doncaster Rovers in December, put the home team in the lead in the 27th minute with a curling drive from outside the penalty box.
Lee Wallace doubled the Gers’ advantage six minutes into the second half after he was set up by Billy King.
