Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino has told Sky Sports that head coach Steve Evans talks too much.
Cellino believes that in recent weeks Evens has been talking too much about his future and the contracts of the players in public.
The Italian entrepreneur believes that the Scotsman should concentrate on getting results on the pitch instead of thinking of other matters.
"The last few weeks he has been talking too much about the future, his contract, the players," Cellino told Sky Sports. "He has to focus on the game.
"We are missing four or five players from the first-team squad and we are in an emergency, and instead of complaining we must just focus and try and play altogether and not just complain in the media.
"The best way to speak with fans is to play good football and not just talking in the media.”
It will be interesting to see Evans’s comments to the media after this. Will the Leeds head coach be more reserved in his press conferences, or will he continue to speak the way he normally does?
While Cellino is right in saying that the former Rotherham United manager should concentrate on on-pitch matters, there is little he can other than answer when he is asked about his future and signings.
