Is Schroders boss Michael Dobson about to step down?

question mark ?

Michael Dobson, chief executive of asset manager Schroders, is to announce he is stepping down tomorrow, according to reports.

Dobson has led the company for over 14 years. He previously worked for Deutsche Bank, among other City firms.

He will reveal his intended departure when the company reports its annual results tomorrow, the Financial Times has reported. Sources said Peter Harrison, the company’s head of investment, will succeed the 63-year-old.

Last year, the group announced that veteran fund manager Rosemary Banyard would be leaving after 17 years to pursue new opportunities. She is set to depart this month.

Schroders declined to comment.
