Aston Villa-owned Nottingham Forest midfielder Gary Gardner was impressed with his brother’s heroics against Leicester City on Tuesday evening.

Craig Gardner scored a stunning free kick five minutes into the second half of the Premier League game between Leicester and West Bromwich Albion at the King Power Stadium.

The 29-year-old West Brom midfielder’s strike proved to be the final goal in the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Gary Gardner, who joined Championship side Forest on loan from Premier League outfit Villa in the January transfer window, was impressed with his brother’s free-kick goal.

The final result in Leicester means that West Brom are now 13th in the Premier League table.

The Baggies have picked up 36 points from 28 matches so far this season, 12 more than third-from-bottom Norwich City.

Meanwhile, Forest currently find themselves 15th in the Championship table with 42 points from 33 games, 13 points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday but with a game in hand.
