Heung-Min Son explains the importance of Tottenham's next two matches

Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of making history this season.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son has been speaking about the upcoming London derbies against West Ham United and Arsenal, with his comments published on Spurs’ official Twitter account.

The South Korea international arrived at White Hart Lane from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer for a reported £22million (according to the BBC) and he has wasted little time settling in, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 29 appearances to date.

Son is now beginning to start more regularly for Tottenham and will be hoping to have a considerable impact in the upcoming matches that could well decide the destination of this season’s Premier League title.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to Upton Park this evening to take on the Hammers before they welcome Arsenal to White Hart Lane on Saturday for a huge six-pointer.

Speaking ahead of those games, Son said, “The derbies against West Ham and Arsenal are obviously incredible games for us and ones we’re all looking forward to.

“All the fans know how much these games…mean for us and we must prepare for them well.”

Son clearly understands the importance of the matches and if Spurs win them both they will move tantalisingly close to their first ever Premier League crown.
