Taking to his personal Twitter account, Darren O’Dea has commented ahead of his return to Celtic’s home of Parkhead this evening.
Back to Paradise tonight. Gutted I won't be involved. Be weird having to walk to the away dressing room but looking forward to it— Darren O'Dea (@odea_darren) March 2, 2016
The 29-year-old centre-back currently plays for Dundee FC, having linked up with the Premiership club in the January transfer window.
He has played eight games for the club so far, although he is not set to feature this evening against former club Celtic.
O’sea played 59 times for the Bhoys, progressing through their youth academy to feature for the first-team.
Dundee are only the second Scottish team that O’Dea has played for, and this evening is the first time that the centre-back will be returning to Parkhead since leaving the club for MLS in 2012.
Unfortunately for O’Dea, he will not be playing the club this evening, missing out on the chance to get back on the Paradise pitch, although he has confirmed he will be travelling to the game.
He has admitted that it will be weird walking to the away dressing rooms at Parkhead, having only ever been a home player at the ground before.
Celtic currently lead the Scottish Premiership, with 62 points from 27 games. Dundee sit comfortably mid-table, knowing that a win this evening can lift them into fifth place on a total of 38 points.
