Aston Villa were dealt another defeat on Tuesday evening, falling down by a 3-1 scoreline to Everton.
Ramiro Funes Mori opened the scoring in the opening minutes, before Aaron Lennon and Romelu Lukaku extended the lead.
Rudy Gestede pulled one back for Villa heading into the final 10 minutes of the game, but Remi Garde’s side never really threatened to pick up all three points.
It was a game characterised by some bold tactical decisions from Garde, as he opted to name five defenders in his formation, limiting the impact of the two strikers.
One of the bolder decisions made by Garde was the recall of Brad Guzan to the starting XI, with Mark Bunn dropped to the bench after a run of seven games between the sticks.
In those seven game, Bunn helped his side to two victories, which is one more than Guzan has managed in his 21 appearances across the whole campaign.
Bunn had struggled in the last two games, conceding six against Liverpool and two against Stoke City, but it was a surprise to see Guzan recalled to the starting line-up.
The American keeper struggled, and following the game, Villa fans took to Twitter to react to Guzan’s performance having been brought back into the side.
@MatKendrick I'm not comfortable with bringing back Guzan and Gabby either. Not Gardes fault but he ain't good enough— Mark Shaw (@shaw532) March 1, 2016
This isn't a great advert for Brad Guzan's new goalkeeping soccer school. #avfc— Jonathan Parker (@Corscombe_Villa) March 1, 2016

Remi Garde benched Guzan for Bunn, they still conceded, brought in Guzan back and are still conceding.— Bowale (@Son_of_a_O) March 1, 2016
