Fiorentina are lining up a summer offer for Joao Carlos Teixeira, the Daily Mail reports.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is out-of-contract at the end of this season, and it does not look likely that he will remain at Anfield into this summer.
He has been offered few playing chances with the Reds, and Fiorentina have already opened talks with Teixeira’s representatives concerning his move to Serie A.
Teixeira was signed by the Merseyside club in 2012, linking up with their Under-21 side after impressing in the NextGen Series with Sporting CP.
Then head scout Frank McParland was suitably impressed, and advised club chiefs to splash out on the youngster.
Since then, Teixera has built an impressive reputation in the academy system at Anfield, and the former Portuguese Under-21 international spent last season impressing with Championship club Brighton.
He has been involved with the senior squad this season, but has still only been seen as a back-up option, predominantly turning out in the domestic cups - he has only three minutes of Premier League action to his name under Jurgen Klopp.
There are no indications that he is set to be offered a new deal at Anfield, and La Viola are ready to swoop in and take him to Italy to be part of their team for next season.
