Alexis Sanchez is expected to keep his place in the Arsenal side, The Mail report.
The Chilean has been struggling for goals in recent weeks and did not deliver in big games against Barcelona and Manchester United.
Arsenal host Swansea City on Wednesday night, and Wenger must consider whether to change the side around after the Old Trafford loss.
The Mail's report reads: "Trying to get Sanchez back up to speed is prominent in Wenger’s thoughts but it’s a dilemma the Frenchman is treading very carefully over.
"Wenger is known to avoid awkward confrontations with his players... the Chilean places high demands on himself and feels he wouldn’t benefit from a spell out of the team. He feels playing regularly is the only way he’ll be able to recapture top form."
This is a situation where Wenger needs to take control if he feels dropping Alexis Sanchez is the right move to make.
Arsenal are desperate for a win to build momentum into the North London derby, a game where the superstar will be expected to produce.
Sanchez is capable of brilliant on his day, and a better move would be to drop the woefully ineffective Theo Walcott in favour of Joel Campbell, who has made good strides this season.
Sanchez has six goals in 19 Premier League games so far this season.
