To be played on Wednesday 2nd March 2016 at 20:00. Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester
Odds: Man Utd 8/13, Draw 11/4, Watford 5/1
Manchester United welcome Watford to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening with Louis van Gaal’s side looking to maintain their impressive recent form.
Wins against Shrewsbury, FC Midtjylland and Arsenal in three different competitions have shown a very different United to the one their fans have endured for much of the campaign to date.
Full of attacking intent and tenacity throughout the side, United have scored 11 goals in three outings – something that would have been unthinkable just a few short weeks ago.
United are currently fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City in the race for a Champions League place next season.
As for Watford, they are 10th with 37 points from 27 matches and they will give United a tough test if they play to their full potential.
In early team news, United could welcome back Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian and Anthony Martial. However they are still without Wayne Rooney, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Luke Shaw and Marouane Fellaini.
Watford must make do without Tommie Hoban and Rene Gilmartin while Jose Manuel Jurado and Joel Ekstrand are highly unlikely to feature.
