Michael Owen predicts feisty West Ham v Tottenham clash

West Ham Upton Park

West Ham United will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that the London derby between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur will end in a draw.

West Ham will take on Tottenham at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Owen has predicted a feisty atmosphere during the match and has predicted the two London sides to share the spoils.

“A fabulous game in prospect at the Boleyn Ground and we will know more about Spurs and their title credentials by the end of the week given they also entertain Arsenal on Saturday live on BT Sport,” the former Newcastle United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.

“A feisty Cup-tie like atmosphere is assured and I am finding it hard to split the sides.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: 1-1 draw at 13/2.”

Both West Ham and Tottenham are in good form at the moment, and there is a very good chance that they will cancel each other out.

Playing at home will give the Hammers an advantage, but in a derby anything is possible.

Spurs will be determined to maintain their Premier League title challenge, which means that head coach Mauricio Pochettino will not change his playing style.

An early goal for West Ham could set up a classic encounter, but even if Spurs get the first goal, the home team do have the ability to stage a comeback and pick up all three points.
