Michael Doughty's response when asked whether he'd consider leaving Queens Park Rangers permanently

Michael Doughty is currently out on loan at Swindon Town from Queens Park Rangers.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Michael Doughty has been quoted by Get West London saying that he has not started thinking about his future yet.

Doughty is currently on loan at Swindon Town, and he has scored three goals in his last three matches.

Robins boss Luke Williams has already confirmed that he would like to sign the youngster at the end of the season.

But Doughty was noncommittal when asked whether he would consider a permanent move to Swindon after his loan spell expired.

“Honestly, I think it would be a bit naïve of myself to start talking about my future after three goals,” Doughty said.

“I’ve got to continue my performances and the rest will speak for itself.”

Doughty currently has a contract at QPR which lasts until 2018, and the club were speaking about him in glowing terms last year.

However, he has still only made one league start for Rangers - and at the age of 23, time is running out for Doughty to make an impression.

The academy graduate only made one appearance under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, in the FA Cup, before being shipped out on loan to Swindon.

Since moving to the County Ground, Doughty has played seven times, and he has made a very positive impression for the League One side.
