Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri praises Andy King

Andy King is likely to fill in for Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante, who is out injured.

Manager Claudio Ranieri has told Leicester City’s official site that Danny Drinkwater will come into his team, which faces West Bromwich Albion later this evening.

Leicester host Tony Pulis’ side later tonight, as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The Foxes currently have a two point advantage over Tottenham Hotspur, and they can put the pressure on the rest of the title challengers if they do pick up a victory this evening.

Leicester’s task of winning has been made harder, though, as N’Golo Kante has been ruled out for their next two matches.

Kante has been in hugely impressive form throughout the campaign, and his absence is a big blow to the Foxes.

However, Ranieri insists that he is confident that Drinkwater can fill in for Kante, as his own form has been brilliant this term.

“Every time I put King in the squad he is excellent and I’m very confident with him,” Ranieri said. “He has another style of football and he has to do his job, not Kanté’s job.

“I’m very confident because we play with King and King plays very well with Drinkwater.”

Leicester are heavy favourites to beat the Baggies, and they will be looking to exploit Pulis’ side’s recent defensive issues.

West Brom have conceded plenty of goals of late, and if they do not tighten up this evening - the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez could run amok.
