Arsenal legend Ian Wright has told The Sun Goals Podcast that he has always liked Tottenham Hotspur winger Nacer Chadli.
“He has come to the fore when they have needed them,” said the former Arsenal striker. “He has come off the bench and scored. He has started, he has scored.
“I have always quite liked Nacer Chadli even through the times of the massive spending. He was the one who was still nicking goals and doing pretty well.”
Chadli has been on the books of Tottenham since 2013 and has a contract until June 2018.
The 26-year-old Belgium international winger does not always start matches for Spurs, but he is still a very important player for the North London outfit.
The former Twente man has scored three goals and created 22 chances in 19 Premier League matches for Tottenham so far this season.
Chadli has a pass accuracy of 83%, and a shot accuracy of 35%, and has won 11 headers, six dribbles and four tackles.
The Spurs winger scored 11 goals and created 41 chances in 35 league matches last season.
During the 2013-14 campaign, Chadli has scored one goal and created 31 chances in 24 Premier League matches.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment and will take on West Ham United away from home at the Boleyn Ground on Wednesday evening.
