Gary Lineker comments on Leicester’s huge loss, Michael Owen predicts West Brom outcome

Leicester City will be without N'Golo Kante for tonight’s Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion.

Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the news that N'Golo Kante will miss Leicester City’s Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion this evening.

Kante has a hamstring injury and will miss Leicester’s matches against West Brom and Watford.

The 24-year-old former Caen midfielder suffered the injury during the Foxes’ 1-0 victory over Norwich City at the King Power Stadium in the league at the weekend.

Former Leicester striker Lineker believes that the absence of Kante is a huge loss for Claudio Ranieri’s side.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has backed Leicester to pick up all three points against West Brom.

“After the win over Palace at the weekend the Baggies have now won back-to-back in the PL but they will do well to land the hat-trick against the league leaders and title favourites (7/4 at BetVictor),” Owen wrote on

The Foxes have now gone 463 minutes since they last conceded at the King Power Stadium and I think they can grind out another win.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Leicester to win to nil at 31/20.”

West Brom are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 35 points from 26 matches.

The Baggies are not entirely out of danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, but back-to-back wins in the league have enhanced their chances of survival.
