Confirmed: Sunderland v Crystal Palace line-ups: Wickham starts

Sunderland Gates

Sunderland host Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Sunderland host Crystal Palace in desperate need of a win to boost their survival hopes.

The Black Cats won their last home fixture against Manchester United, but slipped to defeat against West Ham at the weekend, with the FA Cup break halting their recent momentum.

Crystal Palace meanwhile have struggled since the turn of the year, and lost 3-2 to West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, conceding three goals in the opening half an hour.

Palace boss Alan Pardew would dearly love to get one over on Sunderland, who haunted his time at Newcastle United with a succession of victories.

Sunderland are in 19th place with 23 points, one point back from 17th position. Palace meanwhile have slumped to 14th place and have not won any of their last 10 Premier League games, losing seven of them including the last two.
