The young Tottenham Hotspur player is already proving to be very versatile.
Tottenham Hotspur may have had a quiet January transfer window but they did complete the signing of an exciting young player in the form of Shilow Tracey.
The teenage midfielder signed from non-league Ebbsfleet United last month and he is currently playing for Spurs’ under-18 side.
Having featured at right-back and in the centre of the park already in his short time at White Hart Lane, the versatile youngster proved he is also effective in front of goal when he came off the bench for striker Kazaiah Sterling to score in a 4-3 victory against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.
It remains to be seen what Tracey’s long-term position will be but there is little doubt that he has started as he will mean to go on.
Both he and fellow midfielder Marcus Edwards netted in the win and the two players are likely to come through the ranks together in the years ahead, potentially pairing up in the first-team a few years down the line.
This season is all about settling in at Tottenham but once Tracey has done that, a few appearances for the under-21s next year will not be out of the question, although where he will be playing by then remains a mystery.
