Remi Garde’s one-word response when asked if he will stay at Aston Villa

Rémi Garde

Aston Villa are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has suggested to The Sunday Times that he wants to remain in charge of the team next season.

Garde was appointed the Villa manager in November of last year following the dismissal of Tim Sherwood and has a contract until June 2019.

The Frenchman was brought in to make sure that the Villans retain their Premier League status for next season, but things are not going well at the moment.

Villa look likely to get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, but Garde has suggested that he will still remain the manager.

When asked by The Sunday Times if he would like to stay and rebuild the club, even if starting over in the Championship, the Frenchman said: “Yes.”

While Garde may be interested in remaining at Villa Park, it remains to be seen what the club decide.

The Championship is a very tough league and is arguably more competitive than the Premier League.

While Garde is a good manager, is he the right man to lead Villa’s challenge to return to the Premier League if they do go down to the Championship at the end of the season?
