Here is how we predict Sunderland and Crystal Palace will line up this week:
To be played on Tuesday 1st March 2016 at 19:45. Venue: Stadium of Light, Sunderland
Odds: Sunderland 8/5, Draw 11/5, C. Palace 7/4
Sunderland welcome Crystal Palace to the Stadium of Light on Tuesday evening for their latest Premier League encounter.
The Black Cats have been performing well recently but they have often been unable to turn those positive outings into victories, with their 1-0 defeat to West Ham United on Saturday the perfect example.
Sunderland’s players will have been buzzing after their 2-1 win against Manchester United but, just as was the case against Manchester City earlier in the month, Sam Allardyce’s men could not turn a good performance into three points.
As a result they remain deep in a relegation battle and are currently 19th in the table, one point clear of safety with 11 matches remaining.
As for Palace, they are 14th but will not want their campaign to simply peter out and will hope to go on a winning run in the weeks ahead to pull further clear of the bottom three.
In early team news, Sunderland are without Duncan Watmore while summer signing Jeremain Lens is lacking match fitness following his return to training.
Sunderland made arguably the best signings of the January transfer window and brilliant trio Lamine Kone, Jan Kirchhoff and Wahbi Khazri should all start once again.
As for Palace, their manager Alan Pardew cannot call on Papa Souare, James McArthur or Jason Puncheon while Yohan Cabaye and Bakary Sako are both rated at 75 per cent to be fit for this match.
