The Egyptian is yet to be given a proper chance to impress by Arsene Wenger.
The Egyptian midfielder joined from Basel last month, with the Gunners making him their only signing of the January transfer window.
He has so far had to content himself with a series of substitute appearances in the side though, with Arsene Wenger yet to truly give the midfielder his chance to impress.
Wright though says he would like to see him brought into the side as their Premier League title hopes have started to dwindle.
“I really want to see Elneny more now,” he told Fletch and Sav.
“He’s someone that came in January and I thought he was coming in to give them a boost and make a difference.”
“He didn’t come on [against Barcelona], Flamini came on and he got a lot of stick for giving away the penalty.”
Perhaps bringing in Elneny would not be the worst idea for Wenger given how his side are currently slipping out of the title race.
After Sunday’s loss to Manchester United they are now third in the table, three points behind Tottenham Hotspur in second and five behind leaders Leicester City.
Giving a new face his chance to impress could provide the impetus for them revive their ailing hopes and there is nothing to suggest that Elneny could not be that man in the remaining games this season.
