Ian Wright backs West Ham's reported move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic

West Ham United reportedly want to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic from PSG.

Ian Wright has told BT Sport that West Ham United should look to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer transfer window.

West Ham were linked with PSG striker in The Sun last week, after suggestions emerged that he could be heading out of the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

The Hammers reportedly feel that Ibrahimovic would highlight their ambition as they move into the Olympic Stadium.

And Wright has backed the move, suggesting that the 34-year-old would be a great addition for the Hammers.

“They’re linked with Ibrahimovic at West Ham, and I think that’s quite a possibility,” he said. “It would be very exciting if they can get Ibrahamiovic here.”

The rumours have been sparked just days after Slaven Bilic hinted that big names could arrive at West Ham in the summer (London 24).

The Hammers brought in the likes of Angelo Ogbonna and Dimitri Payet before the start of the season as they started to show their new found ambition.

West Ham are likely to be backed with significant funds again, and if they were able to complete the signing of Ibrahimovic it would certainly raise eyebrows.

The Swedish international has never played in the Premier League before, but his goalscoring record across Europe is hugely impressive and he would considerably increase Bilic’s side’s already considerable firepower.
