The Danish legend can see him playing for the Catalans at some point in the future.
In an interview with Omnisport later published online by Four Four Two, Denmark legend Brian Laudrup has said he believes Tottenham Hotspur play-maker Christian Eriksen has the look of a potential Barcelona player.
The Dane, who has eight goals and 10 assists in all competitions, is on course to record his most productive season since joining the Lilywhites in an £11.5 million deal from Ajax in 2013.
Eriksen has also created 77 chances for his Tottenham team-mates in the league this season, and Laudrup says that he can see his compatriot plying his trade at Camp Nou in the future.
"He has got tremendous feet and great vision," Laudrup told Omnisport, quoted by Four Four Two. "He is not the quickest of players but his mind is very quick and that sets him apart from many young players.
"He is scoring goals as well, his free kicks are well known and he makes a lot of chances for his team-mates.
"How far can he go? He is a Barcelona-type of player but whether he can actually take it to Barcelona we will have to wait and see. Maybe the next year or two and then he will get into the age where he is at the top of his talent and capabilities."
Eriksen is contracted to White Hart Lane until 2018, but by virtue of his performances this season the club will be keen to extend that in order to stave off interest by increasing his value.
Should Barcelona come knocking, Spurs have shown that they cannot be bullied in the transfer market in recent years, and the Catalans' hierarchy may have little choice but to pay top dollar for the talented Dane.
