Former Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal should play the youngsters against Barcelona next month.
Marsh made the comments following Arsenal’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal will take on Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie away from home at Camp Nou in March.
Having lost the first leg 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in North London this month, the Gunners have very little chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the prestigious European club competition.
Marsh believes that Arsenal manage Arsene Wenger should play the youngsters against Barcelona.
Last weekend, City manager Manuel Pellegrini played a number of young players against Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
City lost the match 5-1, but three days later Pellegrini fielded his strongest available lineup against Dynamo Kiev away from home in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie and the Citizens won 3-1.

If I was Wenger I would play the kids against Barca like Pelligrini did at Chelsea last week...— Rodney Marsh (@RodneyMarsh10) February 28, 2016
