Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Everton’s takeover by Farhad Moshiri is good for the club.
The 60-year-old Iranian businessman has bought a 49.9% stake in Everton, as reported by BBC Sport.
Moshiri sold his stake in Arsenal to business partner Alisher Usmanov on Friday so that he could buy into the Merseyside outfit.
Former Arsenal star Parlour believes that it is good for Everton that the Toffees have got new investment coming in.

Everton are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with 35 points from 26 matches.
The Merseyside outfit are unlikely to finish in the European places, but they should be able to end up in the top 10.
Roberto Martinez’s side, though, do have a chance of winning a major trophy this season.
Everton have qualified for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup where they take on Premier League rivals Chelsea at Goodison Park.
