Queens Park Rangers beat Birmingham City 2-0 yesterday.
The attacking midfielder has been in and out of QPR’s team so far this season, but he inspired Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s men to a 2-0 victory over Birmingham City, which has lifted them up to 11th place in the Championship table.
The Blues travelled to Loftus Road looking to strengthen their push for a play-off spot, but they were thoroughly out played by the hosts.
QPR dominated the match for large periods, and they were rarely threatened by the visitors.
It was a display that highlighted the quality that QPR have at their disposal this season, and Chery was at the heart of everything that they did well.
The Dutchman looked in sensational form and he scored QPR’s first to set them on their way.
Junior Hoilett then tucked home a penalty to round off the triumph, but it was Chery who was generally considered to be the best player on the pitch. Here is the best reaction to his display from QPR supporters on social media site Twitter.
QPR put in a good performance against Birmingham Tjaronn Chery and a penalty from Junior Hoilett with the goals .— joshua bunting (@Distillerymad) February 27, 2016
#QPR We built the foundations of our win today around Karl Henry in the first half. Freed up Chery. Polters new found pace impressive— Lee Wiffen (@extrawide) February 27, 2016
Excellent performance by QPR today to play one of the better teams in the division off the park. Chery was superb— Nick Symes (@Nicksmes) February 27, 2016

Good to speak with Tjaronn Chery after the game. Really pleased to see him starting again. Luongo bossing it again in midfield too #QPR— Sean Gallagher (@seangallagher9) February 27, 2016
