Tottenham Hotspur secured another huge three points this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur won 2-1 against Swansea City on Sunday afternoon to keep their Premier League title challenge well and truly alive.
With current leaders Leicester City winning 24 hours earlier, Spurs could not afford to slip up and despite going behind against the Swans they ultimately won courtesy of goals from Nacer Chadli and Danny Rose.
The result is particularly sweet as Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal lost 3-2 to Manchester United at the same time, meaning Spurs are now three points clear of the Gunners with 11 matches remaining.
After the full-time whistle some of Tottenham’s players took to social media to have their say, with striker Harry Kane writing, “Great character from the lads today. We will never give in. Fan were great cheering us on too; big week.”
Young midfielder Josh Onomah, who came off the bench in the second half, also had his say, writing simply, “Winning does feel good.”
Right-back Kyle Walker then got in on the act, hailing the Tottenham fans just as Kane did.
Next up for Spurs is a huge league match against West Ham United, who themselves are flying high, before a massive clash against Arsenal on Saturday.
