Well played Stoke City...well played!
Well, just in case you missed it, the former Manchester City defender tweeted this picture of a car (and still hasn't deleted it!):
And after fans got very mad with the centre-back, he decided to send an apology, explaining that he accidentally sent that tweet from his pocket...classic:
We reckon Lescott thought that was the end of it, but during Aston Villa's clash with Stoke City, the Potters fans and their Twitter account decided to have a brilliant pop at the defender.

While the chant was good, we reckon the reaction from the club's Twitter account was even better, just a look at this:
Apologies for that tweet, it was sent from our pocket ;-)— Stoke City FC (@stokecity) February 27, 2016
Outstanding! As you can imagine, the tweet absolutely exploded, with fans up and down the country having a right good laugh at Lescott's expense.
And to make things worse for the defender Stoke secured all three points thanks to two goals from Marko Arnautovic, leaving Villa still rock bottom of the Premier League and eight points from safety with time running out to turns things around in what would now be very dramatic fashion.
