Gary Lineker reacts on Twitter after Tottenham win and Arsenal lose

Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are both in strong positions in the Premier League table after this weekend's results.

Gary Lineker has expressed his delight at the results this weekend, with both Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur taking a big step closer towards winning the Premier League.

With Manchester City playing in the League Cup final, Leicester, Tottenham and Arsenal all had a big chance to put pressure on Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

However, only Leicester and Spurs managed to take their opportunity, by beating Norwich City and Swansea City respectively.

Arsenal, on the other hand, lost 3-2 to Manchester United and Lineker could not hide his excitement about the results.

Leicester now lead the Premier League by two points, with Tottenham hot on their heels.

There is then a three-point gap down to Arsenal and City are a further four points back from there.

Tottenham are now the bookies’ favourites to win the Premier League title, with Leicester regarded as their closest rivals.

The pair have both had absolutely brilliant seasons to date and with just 11 matches to go they are showing no signs of faltering.

Tottenham’s next match comes against West Ham United on Wednesday evening. Leicester face West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
