Birmingham City's Paul Caddis has not played in any of the side's last three matches.
Birmingham City fans have expressed their anger at Gary Rowett for dropping Paul Caddis from their starting line-up in favour of Ryan Shotton over recent weeks.
Shotton has joined the Blues on loan from Derby County until the end of the campaign, and Caddis has had to drop out of Rowett’s team to make way for the former Stoke City man.
The 27-year-old has not featured in any of Birmingham’s last three matches, but supporters of the Midlands club feel that they looked stronger with him in their team.
Caddis’s omission against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday has caused particular frustration, as the Blues were so far short of their best at Loftus Road.
Birmingham were beaten 2-0 by QPR, and their performance fell well short of expectations.
Rowett’s men rarely threatened throughout the contest, as they fell to a very disappointing defeat which seriously damages their promotion chances.
Birmingham are now four points away from the play-off places, and their form has dipped over the past month.
Some Blues fan feel feel part of the reason for this is due to Rowett’s team selections, and they have made their feelings known on social media site Twitter.
Rowett has got to drop Shotton and Grounds Thursday night! Bring Caddis and spector in with Robbo going LB! #bcfc— Matt Morris (@mattymozza) February 27, 2016
Not long back, appalling from Blues today. Why oh why did Caddis get dropped for Shotton? Got to get Caddis back #BCFC— The Garbage (@the_garbage) February 27, 2016
Shotton is poor. Caddis is underrated one of our best players. #bcfc— Joe Hinton (@joephinton) February 27, 2016
I'd only pick Shotton ahead of Caddis if Caddis were in a coma. #bcfc— Nικος Ξυδιας (@Greekbluenose) February 27, 2016
Why is Shotton playing? Caddis has been one of our most consistent players since signing for us?! #bcfc— Mr Page (@reece_page_9) February 27, 2016
