Everton have today confirmed on their official website that former Arsenal shareholder Farhad Moshiri has purchased a 49.9% stake in the club, promising investment at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have been seen as standing still whilst clubs like Stoke City and West Ham United move forward on and off the pitch, with fans calling for new investment from chairman Bill Kenwright.
Now, Everton do have a new shareholder, as former Arsenal man Farhad Moshiri has been confirmed as the club's new investor, having purchased 49.9% of the club.
The British-Iranian, who is worth around $1.79bn (£1.3bn) according to Forbes, will now be charged with the task of pumping money into Everton for new players and possibly a new stadium in order to take Everton forward, and give them the finance they have desperately needed to keep up with the top clubs in England.
Now, Everton have been have been reacting ever since the new broke, with many particularly pleased to see a man arrive at the club having already experienced life in the Premier League as a former shareholder with Arsenal.
Many believe this is the step Everton have needed for some time, and even turned their attentions to who the Toffees could sign in the transfer market.
Fans named Ukrainian international Andriy Yarmolenko as a player they would like having impressed out wide for Dynamo Kiev, whilst some supporters even think that Wayne Rooney - who famously started his career with the Toffees before leaving for Manchester United in 2004 - could be tempted back to Goodison Park with the new riches on offer.
Here are some of the reactions from Everton fans after Moshiri's investment was confirmed today...

Could be a brilliant partnership. Added investment with money to spend but maintain the core and tradition of the club. #EFC— Ell Bretland (@EllBretland) February 27, 2016
Even more convinced after the takeover that Wayne Rooney will be back in the royal blue next season.— Ell Bretland (@EllBretland) February 27, 2016
