West Bromwich Albion-owned Preston North End goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard was pleased with Manchester United’s Europa League progress.

West Bromwich Albion-owned goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Manchester United’s win against FC Midtjylland on Thursday evening.

United got the better of Midtjylland 5-1 at Old Trafford in the second leg of the Europa League round of 32 tie.

Lindegaard, who joined Championship side Preston North End on loan from West Brom in the January transfer window, was following the match.

The former United goalkeeper has posted a funny message on Twitter following Louis van Gaal’s side’s win.

Prior to the match against Midtjylland, United manager Van Gaal said that he wanted his players to be horny.

When asked what he wanted from his team, Van Gaal told BBC Sport: "Desire, hunger. A lot of times I use the word ‘horny'."

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Old Trafford on Thursday evening, hosts United had 71% of the possession, took 25 shots of which nine were on target, and earned 14 corners.

Visitors Midtjylland had 29% of the possession, took two shots of which one was on target, and earned one corner.
