Leeds are also in talks with Charlie Taylor over a contract extension.
Leeds United took on Fulham in their most recent Championship outing and the result was a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
It was a fair result between the two sides at the wrong end of the table, but Leeds only got the result after a magnificent goal from Lewis Cook.
The young midfielder scored his first goal at Elland Road with a rasping drive from 35-yards - giving Andy Lonergan no chance in the Fulham goal.
Steve Evans has been speaking about the goal in his press conference today. According to Evans Cook, who has been linked with several Premier League clubs in the past few months, will become an 'un-buyable' asset of the Leeds squad if he scores goals regularly.
He is quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post today (26/02/2016) as stating:
"If Lewis Cook adds goals to his game he becomes un-buyable for clubs in the Premier League.
"I've said to Lewis, I don't care if you hit the Kop, you have got to have some strikes at goal.
"There were 4 or 5 clubs that wanted Lewis Cook. But the president said 'Lewis Cook is still getting better."
Cook is just one of the star talents at Leeds United this season and Charlie Taylor is another who has impressed.
The worry for Leeds fans however is their contract situations. Both are out of contract in 2017 so enter the final year of their deals this summer - a similar situation to the one that recently saw Sam Byram depart the club.
But BBC West Yorkshire Sport and the official Leeds United Twitter account report that Evans told his press conference today that contact has now been made with the pair over an extension to their respective deals.
Leeds fans will certainly hope that this is the case as worries over the sale of their top young talents is a major concern.
Hopefully they will keep hold of the talented duo for the future.
