Sheffield Wednesday winger Modou Sougou claims he will miss the next three weeks through injury.
The Senegal international revealed the lay-off on Instagram, uploading a picture of his left leg in a brace besides the caption: "Injury comes at a bad time. Out [for] three weeks".
Wednesday travel to league leaders Hull City on Friday evening, where they will be boosted by the return from suspension of top scorer Fernando Forestieri.
Forestieri was sent off for two bookable offences in Saturday's defeat to Preston, missing Tuesday's draw with Queens Park Rangers as a result.
Sougou, who moved to Hillsborough on a free transfer from Marseille last August, has played 15 times for the Owls in all competitions, scoring three goals.
The 31-year-old last played in January's 3-2 defeat to Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup and hasn't made Carlos Carvalhal's matchday squad since the signing of Aiden McGeady on deadline day.
As well as first-teamers McGeady, Forestieri and Ross Wallace, the Owls have Marco Matias to call upon should the require.
Another wide option, Jeremy Helan, was loaned to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday. However, Wednesday have the option to recall the Frenchman after 28 days should Sougou suffer a setback.
