Manchester United are scouting Werder Bremen youngster Eggestein.
The young striker currently plays for Werder Bremen and the German Under-17 international side, with whom he has netted 10 goals in 18 games.
The Red Devils have been tracking him for the last few weeks, with plans to bring him to Old Trafford in the summer, and further improve their youth ranks.
Eggestein started his career with TSV Havelse, moving to Bremen in the summer of 2013. He has not yet made his professional debut for the side, but his form in the youth leagues has been drawing major attention of the striker.
This season, Eggestein has netted 22 goals in just 16 games in the A-Junioren Bundesliga Nord/Nordost, and despite being only 17, he has 28 goals in 20 appearances for Bremen’s Under-19 side.
He is playing far above the level that his age suggests, and Eggestein looks to be a real talent.
United are not the only team who want to sign the young striker though, with Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen also tracking him.
It is not yet stated whether any formal offers have been made for the teenage talent.
