Liverpool take on Manchester City this weekend in the League Cup final. The game will see Jurgen Klopp get his first chance at winning silverware for the Anfield club after just a few months in the job.
The game at Wembley will also be a chance for Liverpool to win their first trophy since their League Cup win over Cardiff City in 2012.
One pundit who does know what it is like to win a League Cup with Liverpool is Jamie Redknapp. The Sky Sports pundit won the competition with Liverpool back in 1995 and has been talking to Sky Sports News today (26/02/2016) about their chances this year.
He believes it will be a huge boost for the club, and that it will also have a bearing on the club's transfer business in the summer:
"Jurgen Klopp has got so much money in the bank with the fans. They absolutely adore him. If he were to take a trophy then they would really start to think that things are starting to improve.
"Next year with the players you identify and the players you are bringing in. All the players at the moment it feels like they are on trial with the manager. Otherwise a lot of them will be surplus to requirements next year.
"If they win this one I think next year they can really go on and start to press and push to become a top four side regularly.
"Because I think Jurgen Klopp has really got that feel-good factor going at the club again."
It could very well be that those who can't cut it in this sort of fixture will no longer be on Klopp's keep list for the summer.
Meanwhile picking up silverware will certainly attract newbies to the club as well as ensure qualification for the Europa League next term.
It is a big fixture for Liverpool and Klopp, with the chance to finally blow the dust off the trophy cabinet.
