Rangers midfielder Nicky Law has told the club’s official Youtube channel that Manchester United will find it tough to get back to the top.
Law, who has been on the books of Rangers since 2013, is a United fan and hopes to see Louis van Gaal’s side return to where they belong.
The 27-year-old former Rotherham United and Motherwell midfielder, though, does not expect the Red Devils to find it easy in the coming years.
“It has been a tough few years for the club, but I am sure over the next few years they will get back to, similar to ourselves if you like, where they belong,” Law told Rangers’ official Youtube channel. “They will get back to the top.
“It’s difficult. There's a lot of money coming into the game particularly down in England now as well, so the competition is tough when you see teams like Leicester and Tottenham, things like that. These teams are only going to get stronger as well.”
United appeared to have taken a step forward last season when they finished in the top four of the Premier League.
The 2015-16 campaign was supposed to see the Red Devils challenge for the league title and push for the knockout stages of the Champions League. However, things are not going according to plan for Van Gaal’s side at the moment.
