The pundit made a series of very strange claims about Liverpool's progress under the German.
Many highlighted the embarrassing nature of his column and, frankly, they could not be more right.
Savage says Liverpool are going backwards under Klopp (who has only been at Anfield since October) and criticised him for having a similar win rate to Brendan Rodgers. So, with a Rodgers team - and usually half a Rodgers team due to so many injuries - Klopp has done the same as Rodgers, which means Klopp is a bad manager. Great logic.
The fact Liverpool have reached a final already under Klopp, something Rodgers couldn't manage in three seasons with the Reds, is clearly nothing to do with the German, either. In the eyes of Savage, of course.
In defence of the pundit, he is probably just looking for a reaction here - surely even Savage wouldn't genuinely believe this kind of thing.
Either way, here's how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to a very bizarre argument indeed...
I sincerely urge all #LFC fans to just outright ignore Robbie Savage's latest 'fishing' article. Don't give him the satisfaction.— D. Davidson-Amadi (@TheSplinterCell) February 26, 2016
Really gets on my nerves when pundits (especially the like of Savage) criticise us. Klopp is dealing with Rodgers' squad. #LFC— Conor H 97 (@conorYNWA1) February 26, 2016
@RobbieSavage8 don't think it's the right time to judge klopp...do that once he has built his own team.— Simon #YNWA (@shudsi) February 26, 2016
How is Robbie Savage a pundit.....— Simon Williams (@CBA_Pembs) February 26, 2016
