The Bulgarian loanee gave United their equaliser yesterday.

Manchester United defeated FC Midtjylland 5-1 yesterday in the Europa League to turn around their 2-1 defeat in Denmark.

But it seemed as though the game was going away from United at one point. Pione Sisto gave the Danish side a shock lead at Old Trafford and United looked in real trouble.

However, United fought back. It was the Memphis Depay and Marcus Rashford show as United romped to victory.

But for Fulham fans, there was only one goalscorer that caught the eye.

United's equaliser came from an own goal off the toe of Nikolay Bodurov.

The Bulgarian joined Midtjylland on loan from Fulham at the start of the month. He had played just five times for The Cottagers this season and never cemented himself at Fulham after a August move from Litex Lovech.

However the Bulgarian international, who was wearing a protective mask in the game, could not pull his leg away in time from Memphis Depay's effort on goal and toe-poked it into his own net.

Fulham fans, who watched their team in the Europa League final back in 2010, were certainly pleased to see one of their own score in the competition again.

Even if it was in the wrong net...
