Celtic will take on Hamilton at New Douglas Park in the Scottish Premiership this evening.
“They (Hamilton) will be a determined bunch tonight when Celtic visit their home ground, plastic pitch and all,” former Celtic midfielder and manager Hay told The Glasgow Evening Times.
“Not a single one who played in the last game will have forgotten about it. They will want to show they are nowhere near as bad as they were that night.
“You will see a very different game. It was close the last time the teams met at Hamilton and it might just be again. In saying that, I am sure Celtic will win and take another step towards the title.
“After the defeat at Aberdeen, the team have played a lot better, scored some good goals and the defence has been tighter. If Celtic play well, they will win, although they won’t score eight times.”
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 61 points from 26 matches.
Ronny Deila’s side are six points clear of second-placed Aberdeen and are firm favourites to win the league title this season.
The Bhoys will head into this evening’s match against Hamilton on the back of a 3-0 victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
Meanwhile, Hamilton currently find themselves 10th in the league table with 29 points from 27 matches.
Martin Canning’s side will head into the game against Celtic on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Ross County away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic will be favourites to win this evening, but Hamilton are not going to make it easy for the Glasgow giants.
