Crystal Palace have been linked with Newcastle youngster Gibson and Alkmaar star Henriksen.

Speaking to the official Crystal Palace website, Alan Pardew has reacted when asked whether he wants to sign Markus Henriksen or Liam Gibson this summer.

When asked whether the Eagles have any interest in the linked duo, Pardew said: “None whatsoever.”

It was a straightforward response by Pardew, denying that Palace have any interest in the duo.

Markus Henriksen was linked with Palace earlier this week, with Italian media outlet Il Sussi Diario claiming the Eagles want him.

A Norwegian international, the 23-year-old has been in great form for Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar this season, scorning 11 goals in 21 games from an attacking midfield position.

Liam Gibson was the other player linked with a move to Pardew’s team, with TeamTalk claiming the Newcastle youngster is wanted by Palace.

A full-back, Gibson is only 18-years-old, and he is out of contract at the end of this season. There are no indications that the Magpies have yet offered him a new deal, making him a desirable transfer target, but Pardew has denied that he is planning to sign the youngster.
