West Ham United hero Tony Cottee has told the club's official website that he has been impressed with unheralded duo Cheikhou Kouyate and Pedro Obiang.
The Hammers have enjoyed a superb first season under manager Slaven Bilic, having lost just six Premier League games this season - only Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have lost fewer, and they're the top three clubs in the division right now.
Currently in seventh place and only seven points behind Manchester City in the Champions League places, these are exciting times for West Ham - especially with their move to the Olympic Stadium this summer drawing ever closer.
Now, club hero Tony Cottee has offered his verdict on West Ham's success this season, picking out a handful of players for praise.
Speaking to the club's official website, Cottee has praised the impact of playmaker Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini, whose creative abilities have earned plenty of praise this season.
However, Cottee preferred to offer praise to midfielders Cheikhou Kouyate and Pedro Obiang, who Cottee believes are unheralded despite their performances this season.
The former striker finally turned his attention to midfielder Mark Noble, who many feel should be in the England squad after a host of influential performances over the course of the season, as the homegrown star continues to impress uner Bilic.
"Dimitri has been fantastic and I have enjoyed watching Lanzini when he has played this year," said Cottee. "The Kouyate's and Obiang who are in the team don't always get the praise but they do a great job in the midfield.
"I am a big fan of Mark Noble and he has been consistent and this has probably been his best season. He is the captain and is a huge influence in the dressing room. He is a leader and I can't think of anyone better who I would want to see lift the FA Cup this season," he added.
