Premier League linked Norwegian star Havard Nordtveit comments on deadline over future decision

The Borussia Monchengladbach star has been linked with Liverpool, West Ham and West Brom, among others.

Liverpool started the building process for next season earlier in the month as they confirmed that Cameroonian international Joel Matip would be arriving on a free transfer in the summer from Schalke 04.

Now they have been heavily linked with a move for another talented free agent in the Bundesliga.

Norwegian international Havard Nordtveit is out of contract at Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer and Liverpool were said to be ready to bring him in for free by the Mirror.

Liverpool are not alone though. West Ham, Southampton and Leicester City were linked by TMW whilst West Bromwich Albion were recently linked by The Mirror.

Now the Norwegian has commented on his future again. His sporting director at Gladbach Max Eberl told him he needed to have made a decision by the 1st March and Nordtveit has told Bild that he will stick to that deadline:

"If the sporting director asks for it, I will certainly stick to it."

Nordtveit has been offered a new deal by the German side but is believed to be open to a return to English football.

Liverpool, West Ham, West Brom and the rest will now hope that he decides to tell Gladbach he wants to leave in the coming days.
