Predicted West Ham line-up to play Sunderland: Three changes from Bilic

Upton Park

Here is how we predict West Ham United and Sunderland will line up this week:

To be played on Saturday 27th February 2016 at 12:45. Venue: Boleyn Ground, London

Odds: West Ham 5/6, Draw 5/2, Sunderland 7/2

West Ham United welcome Sunderland to Upton Park on Saturday for their latest Premier League clash.

The Hammers will be bouncing following their 5-1 victory against Blackburn Rovers in last weekend’s FA Cup fifth round tie while Sunderland will have been waiting eagerly to try to build on their 2-1 win against Manchester United last time out.

West Ham are currently seventh in the Premier League and a win this weekend could lift them above both Southampton and United depending on how other results go.

As for Sunderland, they are 19th and fighting a relegation battle that could go to the final game of the season; although their recent upturn in form means they are only one point below the safety mark with 12 matches remaining.

In early team news, West Ham are without James Tomkins, Joey O’Brien and Diafra Sakho while manager Slaven Bilic has suggested Saturday’s match will be too soon for Winston Reid.

However Andy Carroll is back in contention while Enner Valencia is rated at 75 per cent to be ready if called upon.

Sunderland pair Younes Kaboul and Seb Larsson returned to training this week but both will need time to build up their fitness.

The Black Cats are also without Duncan Watmore and Jeremain Lens while full-back Billy Jones is a minor doubt with a hip injury.
