To be played on Saturday 27th February 2016 at 15:00. Venue: Britannia Stadium, Stoke
Odds: Stoke 4/6, Draw 5/2, Aston Villa 5/1
Aston Villa travel to the Britannia Stadium this weekend to take on Stoke City in their latest Premier League clash.
Remi Garde’s side remain rooted to the bottom of the table with just 16 points from their 26 matches played and with eight points separating them from safety it would take a miracle for Villa to retain their top-flight status for next season.
It will be interesting to see how Villa respond considering they were hammered 6-0 by Liverpool last time out and have had plenty of time to reflect on that abject performance.
In contrast Stoke are 10th and will not have given up on a late surge towards a possible Europa League place next season.
In early team news, Stoke are without Shay Given, Glen Johnson, Ryan Shawcross, Geoff Cameron, Marc Wilson and Charlie Adam.
As for Villa, Garde must do without Adama Traore, Jordan Amavi, Libor Kozak, Jordan Ayew, Jack Grealish and Carlos Sanchez.
With all that in mind here is how we expect the two sides to line up on Saturday:
- Jack Butland
- Dionatan Teixeira
- Marc Muniesa
- Erik Pieters
- Philipp Wollscheid
- Ibrahim Afellay
- Giannelli Imbula
- Xherdan Shaqiri
- Glenn Whelan
- Marko Arnautovic
- Brad Guzan
- Aly Cissokho
- Ciaran Clark
- Jores Okore
- Micah Richards
- Idrissa Gueye
- Jordan Lyden
- Scott Sinclair
- Jordan Veretout
- Ashley Westwood
- Rudy Gestede
