Tottenham Hotspur take on the Italians in the Europa League this week.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed in an interview with Spurs TV that Harry Kane, Mousa Dembele and Tom Carroll will not feature for the club in their match with Fiorentina this evening.
The two sides go head-to-head in the second leg of their Europa League last-32 match with the score level at 1-1 after the first game.
Belgian winger Nacer Chadli scored from the penalty spot in that encounter but the Serie A club equalised with a deflected Federico Bernardeschi shot that means there is all to play for in the upcoming match.
That said, Tottenham have a precious away goal to hold on to and they will know that if they keep a clean sheet they will move into the last-16.
Speaking to Spurs TV on Wednesday, Pochettino said, “He has an operation today to sort the problem and he is not available for tomorrow. Mousa has a small injury on his groin and Tom Carroll maybe needs one week more.”
That trio join long-term absentees Clinton N’Jie and Jan Vertonghen on the side-lines as Tottenham attempt to secure European glory as well as pushing for the Premier League title.
Spurs are currently second in the table, two points behind leaders Leicester City with 12 matches remaining.
