Arsenal travel to Old Trafford looking to get over the loss to Barcelona.
The Gunners are hurting this week after a 2-0 loss to Barcelona in the Champions League saw their hopes of progressing in the competition effectively put to an end.
This weekend sees them turn their attention back to the Premier League, as they travel to Manchester United seeking another big win to boost their hopes of winning the title.
And Redknapp has urged them to wake up and realise that there is no better time for them to travel to Old Trafford than this weekend.
“Arsenal will be hurting after losing to Barcelona but they must wake up and realise there has never been a better time to go to Manchester United than this weekend,” he told the London Evening Standard.
“Old Trafford is going to be tense given the pressure Van Gaal is under. It is hard to see a future for him beyond the summer. For the time being, United have to soldier on as they are and that makes them vulnerable to Arsenal.”
“There are three teams who can win the League and this should be Arsenal’s year. There is no time to feel sorry for themselves.”
This is certainly an ideal time for the Gunners to end their hoodoo at Old Trafford given how badly things are going there.
They have not won at the famous old stadium in ten years, with their last victory being a 1-0 win in September 2006, the same season they made it to the Champions League final.
That is a run of form that Wenger has come in for stern criticism for, and this weekend could be the time to end it and give their titles hopes a major boost.
