Spurs bring a potentially decisive away goal into tonight's second leg at White Hart Lane following last week's 1-1 draw in Florence, with Nacer Chadli scoring for the visitors.
However, Mauricio Pochettino's side go into the encounter on the back of a morale-sapping 1-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Sunday, with Tottenham spurning a host of clear chances on the day.
Nevertheless, Vorm, who played the first leg, believes that his team-mates have given themselves enough of an advantage to bounce back from their Palace setback - providing they are ruthless when needed.
"We have it in our hands," the goalkeeper told Tottenham's official website. "We have to learn from the FA Cup and if we create the number of chances we created against Palace we would normally win, especially playing at home.
"Fiorentina are not a typical Italian team in many ways, they play good football and perhaps that will suit us better. We’re back at home and we still have a lot of confidence. On paper, we have a good result in the away leg and now we have to finish it off at home."
Elimination would cap a miserable few days for the North Londoners, having already bowed out of the FA Cup.
On the other hand, it might well prove a blessing in disguise come May as it would allow them to focus solely on the Premier League title race.
Tottenham sit second in the table, two points behind Leicester City with 12 games to go.
